What version of the PDS software is used?

Currently the only supported version is Bluesky's PDS because it's stable, and predictable. We have some ideas on our roadmap to support things like Tranquil, but this is still very much at the "it'd be nice if..." stage.

Can I move my accounts away later?

Yes. Accounts on your PDS can move to any other PDS at any time and keep their identity and followers. Moving your peedee.es hosting elsewhere? Well, yes, you can leave any time you want, check out even, this isn't Hotel California - but there is no such thing as an easy one-click migration tool for this. Yet.

Can I change my PDS's domain?

No. It's part of every account's identity. You can add extra handle domains instead. In theory it's possible, but that means we would have to update your users' identities (via PLC), and those who are using a did:web would be left in the cold. Since we have zero relation with your end-users this not only puts us in hot GDPR water, it's also kind of unethical to do so without notifying them, and there too, that is something we just can't do and still comply with GDPR.
