What makes up your subscription

Each PDS is its own subscription, made up of:

• a package, which sets how much computing power your PDS has;
• data storage, for your accounts' posts, follows and other records;
• blob storage, for the images and videos they upload.

A word on supported user counts

Each package will list how many users it will approximately support; this is by any means an estimation, and it fully depends on how active your users are; it could be more, it could also be less. We collect usage metrics for each PDS and at certain points when we have enough data to be statistically relevant, we may change the numbers.

The current numbers were taken from existing metrics from a smaller PDS, and may or may not actually be accurate. Who knows? We don't. Yet. $

A word on pricing

The pricing as listed on the pricing page is almost at-cost; we've added a small margin because well, we'd like to at the very least break even, and potentially be able to buy a burger at Burger King every so often.

A word on custom plans

If you need something plan wise that we don't actually have, we also do custom plans! You want something more ludicrous than ludicrous? You can have that. You want something hosted on a node that isn't shared with anyone else? We can do that too. You want to build the next Bluesky, and you need a bunch of really, really big PDSes?
