Invites and sign-up

Sign-up on your PDS is by invite code only, so only people you invite can create an account. It is currently not possible to switch out of invite-only mode except by sending a message to support@peedee.es requesting this be done. Check our roadmap to see when this setting will become something you can change yourself.

Creating codes

On the Invites tab, choose how many codes to create and how many times each can be used. Share them however you like.

Disabling a code

A code you no longer want used can be disabled from the same tab. Accounts already created with it are not affected.

Self-serve invites

If you'd rather not hand out codes yourself, switch on Self-serve invites, next to Create codes on the Invites tab. It saves straight away. Then send anyone who wants an account to https://<your PDS address>/invite - a page styled like your PDS's own sign-in pages, with your branding. Anyone who passes a quick captcha there gets a single-use invite code to sign up with.

The page hands out a limited number of codes per day (UTC), shown on the Invites tab. When a day's codes run out, the page says so until the next day and we let you know. To raise the limit, email support@peedee.es.
