Privacy Policy

Information we collect

By default, for all interactions with the frontend on peedee.es, or the PDS, the following information is recorded:

• The IP address used to connect
• The user-agent of the application used to connect
• The date and time the connection was made

This information is stored on disk, in log files, for a maximum of 3 days before they are deleted automatically.

Information collected at the frontend

The frontend is on https://peedee.es and is where you can request invite codes and see some information. The frontend collects the following information:

• If you request an invite code, we store your e-mail address in a hashed form (i.e. doesn't look like an email, and can't be turned back into one) to ensure no duplicates.
• If you request an invite code, your e-mail address will be shared with Resend in order to deliver the verification request, and invite code, via e-mail.

Information collected at the PDS

The PDS will store various bits of information you must supply in order for the service to actually work, such as a handle, and e-mail address. Your e-mail address may be shared with Fastmail in order to send e-mail verification emails.

GDPR

The service operates in Germany, and as such must follow GDPR. This means:

• You have the right to request all of your data (this means you always have the right to migrate away to a different PDS)
• You have the right to request removal of all of your data (although this will mean your ATproto account will be removed if you don't migrate beforehand)

Administrator Access

The administrators of peedee.es have complete access to all data stored on the PDS, but this access will not be used unless it's required to solve a problem with the service, or in case of legal requirements.

Privacy

Please note that ATproto is (for now) an open protocol; this means that any information published by you (posts, profile picture, profile text, images, etc.) is public and should be treated as such.
